Yanmar skid steers (like the SV40 or VIO series) are often more compact, lighter weight, and have better visibility from the cab. They're easier to transport and can work in tighter spaces. The trade-off is that the dealer network for Yanmar construction equipment isn't as deep. I personally chose a Yanmar SV26 over a Kubota SVL26 for my crew, because the visibility was a game-changer for our tight job sites. Granted, every manual gives you a schedule, but that schedule is usually the 'minimum' for ideal conditions. In my experience, for hydraulic fluid, the manual says every 400-500 hours.
